Made to Measure
Right here in the UK
Our new innovative Perfect Fit2Frame Blinds are measured the same way as our standard Perfect Fit Blinds. In this guide we’ll cover how to measure for by taking a glass size measurement and how to select the correct install type.
First things first, you’ll need to assess which installation method you’ll require: bead fit, or adhesive fit.
If your window has beading around the glass, this is the install type you should choose. Our specially designed brackets slide directly under the beading on your window and lock the blind into place – no adhesives needed.
No beading? No problem. For windows without beading, you’ll want to select an adhesive install type. We’ll provide you with adhesive side channels that stick directly onto glass. These then allow you to insert the brackets into the channels to secure your blind in place.
Once you’ve assessed which install type your require, it’s time to take your glass size measurement using the step by step instructions below.
1. For the width, measure in 3 places across the visible glass. If your window has beading, make sure to measure from the inside edge of the rubber beading on the left, to the inside edge of the beading on the right. Take a note of the shortest measurement.
2. For the drop, measure in 3 places down the visible glass. Again, making sure to measure from the inside edges of the rubber beading if your window has it. Again, take a note of the shortest measurement.
3. Using your shortest measurements for the width and drop ensure the blind will fit snugly within your window or door frame.
4. Enter your measurements on your chosen product and select the install method you require.
If you have a significant run on your window, these blinds may not be suitable. Please contact our customer support team who can advise.
If you have sliding doors, these blinds may not be suitable as they require around 4mm of clearance between the difference sections of your doors to allow you to open/close the doors without obstruction.
